Sketchbook - Graffiti alphabet

This is a Graffiti alphabet i produced using coloured pens. i am interested in different font styles and lettering so i decided to come up with a full alphabet of my own. This is a typical example of how i like to work.

Sketchbook - fineliner work

Here are some pieces of work in which i have only used a fineliner pen. The fineliner is one of my favourite medias, it is simple but i like that you can achieve alot of different effects still. I have always had an illustrative flare and this is my preffered method of work.

Sketchbook - Insects

Here are some of my insect drawings that i produced as part of a bug project. I used different media and i feel that each media is unique in its own way. The coloured pencil was the most time consuming but i feel that they are more visually rewarding. I like to fill my sketchbook pages and make them full of life.

Sketchbook - The View Down an Alley

This is a coloured pencil drawing of an alley way. I took the picture as part of a project where i looked at the different effects that graffiti has on its surroundings. I was also experimenting with coloured pencils and showing that i can draw in proportion.

Work in Sketchbook - Graffiti

This is a page out of my current sketchbook. It reflects the style of work that i am most comfortable with. For this project i was looking at graffiti in everyday life. I try to display a more recognisable and commercial side to graffiti and i like to link my style of graffiti in with other work.

Acrylic Paintings Pop Art Style

Paintings of Ian Brown and Liam Gallagher. I created these a3 pieces as i was looking into famous art styles and these were based on pop art. I wanted to make the pieces more modern so in the style of andy warhol i focused on current icons. I achieved this effect by using only one colour but focusing on the different shades i could create using the one colour. I am happy with the outcome and this has made me more confident with paint.

Monoprint

This is a monoprint that i produced, influenced by a smaller sketch that i took from an observational drawing class. It is not my preffered method of printing but it shows that i am willing to try different techniques. I liked how i could achieve different tones by applying different amounts off pressure.
